![]() Library Workers and Public Libraries Famous Canadian author Margaret Atwood isn't the only person shocked by Councillor Doug Ford's attitude to public libraries. After his comments about Atwood the public fight escalated, and tens of thousands went to the Library Workers website to send a message of concern to City Hall. Our city has an average of 4 libraries per 100,000 people, which is the same as Vancouver and near to that of Halifax. Steel with lower tax rates even as the government is taking them to court for violating the "net Canadian benefit" terms of their takeover agreement of Stelco. But all the speeches in the world don't match the incisive humour applied liberally in these ads. Check out Jimmy, whose selling his hockey equipment to make up the $500. Or Nuella Warkworth, the President, Chair, CEO and COO of "People for Corporate Tax Cuts" reminding everyone of their duty to give. Or Mandy, who has pulled her kids out of school to save the government her $500. Check it out and share - how often do you have a chance to laugh until you cry?
