The Indigenous and Workers of Colour Conference is happening Saturday, June 12 at 9:45 am. Rising Above the Storm: Creating the Future We Want will feature a keynote address by Rosemarie Powell, Executive Director of Toronto Community Benefits Network, as well as a number of workshops to choose from, including:
- Environmental Racism – facilitated by Coalition of Black Trade Unionists
- Migrant Worker & the Impact of COVID – facilitated by Santiago Escobar of United Food and Commercial Workers
- Land Acknowledgements & Reconciliation – facilitated by OPSEU Indigenous Circle
- Challenging Racism & Racial Trauma: Tools and Resources – facilitated by the City of Toronto's Confronting Anti-Black Racism Unit
- Mental Health in the Workplace & Accommodations – facilitated by OPSEU
This year's Indigenous and Workers of Colour Conference will be held virtually over Zoom. To register for the conference, you must download, complete, and return the conference registration form below along with your registration fee.
