3 Ways to Join the Fight Against Hybrid Learning

Join hundreds of teachers, education workers, parents, and students in the fight against Hybrid Learning in Ontario's public schools.

The Labour Council, along with York Communities for Public Education and Ontario Families for Public Education, is calling on you to help push back against the hybrid learning model in schools. While the Ford Government and school boards are advocating for a hybrid approach to learning, this has been proven to hurt students as well as teachers and education workers. The Hybrid model means teachers would teach combined classes of in-person and virtual students at the same time. Families, students, and education workers have no choice.

But with your support, we can say #NoHybrid!

This week there are three events happening where together we can fight back:

  • Thursday, June 24 at 10 am – Join the #NoHybrid Twitter storm! Tag your school board and use the hashtags #HybridHurtsKids, #OntEd, #OSSTF, and #ETFO to make your voice heard
  • Thursday, June 24 at 11 am – Tune in to the All Presidents Local GTA Education Union Press Conference at Queen's Park
  • Monday, June 28 at 7 pm – Click here to register for the Phone and Email Zap to stop the Hybrid Model in your Board

Together we will push back against these shameful tactics and #SayNoToHybrid in Ontario schools. To hear what stakeholders are saying, visit linktr.ee/yorkcommunities4publiced!
