Joint Statement from City of Toronto Unions on COVID-19

Joint Statement from CUPE Local 2, Local 79, Local 416, Local 2998, Local 4948, ATU Local 113, the Toronto Professional Firefighters’ Association & COTAPSA on COVID-19

In this challenging time, city workers stand with the City of Toronto, Toronto Public Health and our health partners to ensure the health and safety of Toronto communities. We are committed to ensuring our city continues to respond to the needs of its residents and businesses.

As the unions and management association that represent the workers who keep our city running, we are working every day to support our members in their ability to deliver critical services that keep Torontonians safe.

We support and ask for the public’s cooperation in the unprecedented measures taken by all governments to limit the spread of COVID-19. If you have the option, please stay home and continue to practice social distancing. It’s more important than ever to come together to flatten the curve and reduce the spread of COVID-19.

You can count on CUPE, ATU, Firefighters and COTAPSA members to support residents every step of the way.
