Chris Smalls is leading a new generation of young, racialized workers who are transforming the labour movement in North America. In 2022, Chris led a successful union drive among thousands of Amazon workers at the JFK8 warehouse in Staten Island, New York.
Chris will be the keynote speaker at the Toronto & York Region launch of Enough Is Enough, a campaign to tackle the cost-of-living crisis in Ontario.
Chris will be joined by Adaeze Mbalaja, President of the York Federation of Students; Andria Babbington, President of the Toronto & York Region Labour Council; and Ahmad Gaied, Secretary-Treasurer of the Ontario Federation of Labour.
A question-and-answer period will follow Chris’s remarks.
