TYRLC mourns the passing of Stephen Lewis, a tireless advocate for social justice, human dignity, and global equity, and a former leader of the Ontario NDP.
Lewis was a powerful and principled voice for the most vulnerable and was a champion of workers’ rights. As Ambassador to the United Nations he took those principles and passion to a global stage – confronting inequality and leading with courage in the global response to HIV/AIDS.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
