Debbie King is the elected Toronto District School Board Trustee for Parkdale—High Park, where she has lived and worked for 18 years, staying deeply connected to the people, businesses, and organizations that make the ward strong.
Trustee Debbie King’s service includes membership on more than ten committees, helping guide planning and fiscal decisions affecting students, families, and school communities across Canada’s largest school board.
In spite of the provincial ministry supervision of the school board which has suspended trustee honorariums, Debbie continues in her role as the proud representative of Parkdale—High Park parents and students. Her ongoing leadership has included working alongside education unions and community partners to defend local democracy.
Beyond elected office, Debbie brings experience across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. She has worked as a Senior Marketing Planner, in a Toronto City Council office, and for small businesses in Bloor West Village and Parkdale.
