Join Our Activists Assembly
Working people have had enough. Food costs, gas prices, rent and mortgage payments just keep rising. Meanwhile, our wages have not kept up.
The economy is failing us but the rich keep getting richer. Wealthy corporations put people ahead of profit making it harder for us to get the care we need, the education our kids deserve and the services that protect us.
At every turn, government leaders have failed to stand up for us. But it’s our work that keeps this country running.
Relentless corporate lobbying has led to weakened labour laws, increased privatization of our public services, and tax cuts for themselves. In the end it’s cost us taxpayers more and sacrificed our good jobs. Now, attacks from the United States have only further intensified the crisis working people are facing.
This ends now. This country is not for the wealthy few. It should be for us.
In April 2025, we brought together over 150 union leaders to discuss these urgent issues facing workers and what alternatives might look like. Through our day long discussion, we talked about the interconnected nature of workers struggle, the role elections play, and the fightback ahead of us after the federal election.
It was agreed that our next step was to get this message out to our key activists, stewards, and shop floor leaders, and to give them the tools to speak directly to members about a better future for working people. This October 4th activist assembly will educate members on the true cause of working people’s problems, solutions which put workers first, how to speak directly to members about the issues, and actions they can take today!
Together, let’s fight for the lives we deserve!
