In 2022 Amber Morley was elected to Toronto City Council representing Ward 3, Etobicoke-Lakeshore, Canada’s largest ward by population. Amber was later appointed Deputy Mayor of Etobicoke in 2023, becoming the first Black female Deputy Mayor in the City of Toronto’s history.
At City Hall, Amber serves as a member of the Infrastructure and Environment Committee, Budget Committee, Toronto Police Service Board, Toronto Public Library Board and the Executive Committee. In addition to her other committee appointments, she serves proudly as the City of Toronto’s Youth Champion and Chair of the Confronting Anti-Black Racism Advisory Committee.
Amber is a lifelong resident of Etobicoke-Lakeshore and has dedicated herself over the past four years to building an accessible, responsive and reflective office for Etobicoke-Lakeshore residents. As a leader, Amber’s focus is on building safe, connected and complete communities where everyone is welcome and can access affordable housing, reliable transit, green spaces and well-maintained public infrastructure.
