Every student has a right to attend a school which ensures a safe environment free from violence. Every employee has a right to work in a safe environment free from violence. Meeting the individual educational needs of all students while ensuring their safety at school has become a significant challenge.
Currently a number of working women in Ontario make approximately 31% less than men for work of equal value. Known as the gender pay gap, this difference widens for women of colour, Aboriginal women, LGBTQ women and women with disabilities among others.
It’s time to turn things around for Ontario workers. For many years, unions raised the standards for almost all Canadians.
