Volunteer with Labour Council for the Municipal Election 2026
Join us as a volunteer and help us talk to union members and support Labour Council-endorsed candidates in the upcoming 2026 Municipal Election in Toronto.
Labour Day Parade 2026
The Labour Day Parade will be held this year on Monday, September 7, 2026 beginning at 9 am.
Matias de Dovitiis – Etobicoke North and Humber River-Black Creek
Matias worked for many years at City Hall for Councillor Perruzza, as Chief of Staff more recently. Before that, he worked as the first Executive Director for the DUKE Heights BIA for four years, an award winning business improvement area.

Alejandra Bravo – Davenport

Ala’a Adib is an Etobicoke native, proud Toronto resident, and community advocate running for City Councillor in Ward 1, Etobicoke North.
Krissan Veerasingam – Scarborough Centre
Born and raised in Scarborough, Krissan is a long-time community advocate who co-founded and runs the Scarborough Environmental Association alongside his wife, Fizza and was the former Co-Chair of the board for TTC Riders, Toronto’s largest transit advocacy organization.
Anthony Perruzza – Humber River-Black Creek
has championed initiatives that strengthen neighbourhoods, support seniors, and improve quality of life; including fighting municipally-run non-profit grocery stores, and expanding property tax rebates for low-income seniors and people with disabilities.
Neethan Shan – Scarborough Rouge Park
Neethan Shan is Scarborough’s champion and proudly serves as the City Councillor for Scarborough-Rouge Park.
